Veteran Assam scribe Haider Hussain reacted to this incident strongly and said, "These people are the real enemies of Islam. Where Afghani people are opposing Taliban taking over their country, want to leave their own homeland, and seeking refuge in foreign countries, why are these people (arrested) have to support the Taliban? Islam teaches peace, not violence."
