AIUDF MLA abuses government official over phone

Guwahati, October 25, 2018:

An FIR has been filed against AIUDF MLA from Hailakandi Constituency Anwar Hussain Laskar for allegedly abusing a Patwari over the phone.

The complainant, Patwari Faiz Uddin Laskar alleged that Anwar Hussain Laskar verbally abused him over the phone which "cannot be expressed". He claimed that the reason for "such rude behaviour" by the MLA was not known to him.

He further requested the police to take appropriate steps against the MLA. He also submitted a CD with the phone recording of Anwar abusing him to the police.

Speaking to InsideNe, S Choudhury, OC, Hailakandi Police Station said, "We have received the FIR and are currently looking into the matter."

He informed that according to the complainant, the whole issue took place over some official documents.
