AIUDF MLA Poses for Pictures in Front of Charred House of Dead Children, Gets Trolled

Guwahati, January 25, 2020:

Aminul Islam, the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA representing Dhing constituency in Nagaon district on Friday for allegedly posing for pictures in front of the Guwahati home in which two children had perished a day earlier in a house fire.

According to reports, the MLA had gone to the two-storey residence located at Wireless in Guwahati city where he was being clicked by some acquaintances. Later, the pictures of the MLA apparently posing for pictures were leaked online and trolls soon started posting those pictures online and netizens were quick to condemn the leader for his "insensitivity."

Later, Aminul took to social media to clarify the situation. The AIUDF wrote: "শিহৰণকাৰী অগ্নিকাণ্ডত অকালতে মৃত্যুবৰণ কৰা বেলতলাৰ দুটি দেৱশিশুৰ ঘৰলৈ গৈ কালি মই খা-খবৰ লোৱাৰ সময়ত তাত বহুকেইগৰাকী সাংবাদিক আৰু একাংশ ৰাইজ উপস্থিত আছিল । মই কাষৰ ঘৰখনত গৈ গুৰুতৰ মানসিক আঘাতত অসুস্থ হৈ থকা নিহত শিশুদ্বয়ৰ মাতৃ আৰু নিকটাত্মীয়ক সাক্ষাৎ কৰি গভীৰ সমবেদনা প্ৰকাশ কৰাৰ পিছত অগ্নিদগ্ধ ঘৰখন চাবলৈ যাওঁ। মই ঘৰখনৰ চৌহদৰ ভিতৰত সোমাই যোৱাৰ পিছৰ পৰাই মোক চিনি পাই কেইবাগৰাকী সাংবাদিক আৰু অন্যান্য কিছুলোকে মোৰ ফট' আৰু ভিডিঅ' গ্ৰহণ কৰি থকা দেখিবলৈ পাওঁ।"
