Ajmal asks Himanta to prove AIUDF is an enemy of the nation

Guwahati, November 25, 2018:

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal on Sunday asked Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to prove the AIUDF is an enemy of the nation.

“If Himanta Biswa Sarma proves the AIUDF is an enemy of the nation, I will quit politics forever. But, if he fails, I dare him to quit politics,” Ajmal said.

He said Himanta was the one who had been supporting the “anti-Assamese” Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and this was enough to suggest that he was the enemy of the nation and the Assamese community.

Earlier in the day, Sarma had termed the AIUDF as an enemy of the nation and the Assamese community. He urged people to vote against the AIUDF as well as the Congress.
