AJYCP demands ILP For Assam

Guwahati (Assam), September 23, 2018:

An identical check gate at Dirak Gate along Assam-Arunachal border was set up by the Tinsukia District Committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) on Saturday in order to raise their demand for introduction of Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in Assam.

Hundreds of AJYCP activists participated in the protest.

During the protest, the leaders of AJYCP stated that only the introduction of ILP system in Assam would protect the interest of the indigenous people of the state. The demand has been put forward since 1978 by the organisation.
