GUWAHATI: Sibasagar MLA from Raijor Dol, Akhil Gogoi once again found himself amid controversy after he was accused of revealing information to public before the commencement of the session.
His act has been tagged as a 'Breach of Privilege is a violation of any of the privileges of MPs/Parliament. This may include publishing of news items, editorials or statements made in newspaper/magazine/TV interviews or in public speeches.
Reacting to the violation, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma demanded action against Gogoi.

Followed by the controversy, Assembly Speaker Biswajit Diamary made the announcement that from now on answers will not be submitted prior to the session. Tt will be submitted on the spot.
On opposing to the Speaker's decision, Political secretary to CM Jayanta Malla Baruah said to Akhil Gogoi that 'It is an assembly, not an agitation ground'
Speaker Diamary further warned Gogoi to adhere to the rules of the assembly. Diamary also asked him to recall the oath Gogoi had taken as an MLA.
"Kindly recall the oath you took on the first day as MLA. There are some rules that you have to follow when you are inside the Assembly. You have to follow the rules. There are certain responsibilities when you are in the assembly. You can't act like an ordinary person. Otherwise we could have talked on a field also. What was the need of gathering in the assembly", said the Speaker.
Gogoi also said that he might get re-arrested at any moment.
This comes on the third day of the budget session after he had been being lashed out by the Speaker and fellow Ministers quite a few times in a span of 3 days for his alleged misbehaviour.
Gogoi had earlier slammed the Cattle Preservation Bill tabled by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in the session. He said that the bill is 'communal'.
