Alleged ‘secret understanding’ between Congress and BJP in Assam's Hailakandi

Hailakandi, April 17, 2019:

In a sensational development ahead of the Phase-II of the Lok Sabha elections, it has been alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress party in Hailakandi have reached a ‘secret understanding’.

Yesterday, a secret meeting was allegedly held between the two parties in presence of former minister Gautam Roy’s son Rahul Roy and Karimganj BJP candidate Kripanath Malla.

The meeting, which was conducted merely hours ahead of the Phase-II election, has raised serious questions among the people.

According to sources, the meeting took place for a long period late at night. It is widely believed that Rahul Roy will be joining the BJP party along with his supporters in large numbers.
