Suspended Congress leader Anil Raja on Saturday came under ink attack at a court complex in Guwahati.
He went to the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup to depose in connection with a defamation suit filed against him by former Congress minister and sitting Samaguri MLA, Rockybul Hussain.
A man, who is yet to be identified, threw a bottle of ink targeting Raja while he was coming out of the court. Another man was heard shouting the slogan “Anil Raja murdabad”. The protestors were suspected to be supporters of Hussain.
A few months ago, Raja had accused Hussain of owning property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
