"Since the time BJP Govt has been in office since 2014 at the Centre they have carried out anti-people policies by not controlling price rise of petrol, diesel, and essential commodities. "COVID-19 has ruined businesses, people have lost jobs so with no respite from government, how can people survive? We have not seen a more cruel government than this in our lifetime that does not think about how increase in petrol , diesel and essential commodities impact people's lives especially the middle class."

They will sit in agitation for 2 hours and protest by taking out pots and pans with members of Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, and other block-level organizations.

Cycle rallies will also be organized in cities and towns under district Congress committees in which elected party representatives of Municipal Corporation and Congress workers will participate. Protest will be carried out with placards of slogan against price rise.

On July 17, a protest rally will be held in the city of Guwahati which be attended by the APCC President Ripun Bora, CLP Leader Debabrata Saikia, MP's, MLAs, senior leaders, office bearers, and other prominent members of the Congress party.
