APSC scam: Ex-Congress Minister’s son resigns

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 29, 2018:

In yet another development in the cash-for-job scam that rocked Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), Udalguri Election Officer Karpun Patir resigned from his post on Wednesday.

Son of former Congress Minister Sumitra Patir in the Tarun Gogoi government, Karpun submitted his resignation letter to Udalguri Deputy Commissioner.

More than 30 Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service and Allied Service officials have been arrested so far in the scam.
