GUWAHATI: As the time limit of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Inquiry Commission for the six cash-for-job scam suspect gazetted officers has expired today all of them have submitted their response to the Commission in written instead of visiting by themselves.
Reportedly, the inquiry commission has found anomalies in six of these gazetted officers.
These six were identified as -- Special DSP Ashima Kalita, 4th APBN DSP Amit Raj Choudhury, Kokrajhar DSPO Rituraj Doley, Associate Recruitment Officer Rakesh Das, Guwahati Tax Inspector Priyanka Deka and DSP of CID Sukanya Das.
Four of these suspects have submitted written responses to the Commission's queries whereas Rakesh Das has sought an extension of time till August 31.

On the other hand, DSP Sukanya Das, whose two copies of the same subject was found by the Commission, has yet to submit her response.
Accused DSP Ashima Kalita is the daughter of former Congress MLA Madan Kalita from the Nalbari constituency.
Another accused Kula Pradip Bhattacharya's father is a member of the Assam Police Accountability Commission.
As of now, as many as 25 gazetted officers have been suspected of an APSC cash-for-job scam.
