In a tragic incident, a 22-year old youth lost his life when a rocket launcher hit him while he was collecting the empty shells of the cartridges from the Sukanjuli firing range in Baksa district of Assam near the Indo-Bhutan border on Saturday. Trenjing Goyary (22) was there in the firing range even before the Army personnel of the 104 Engineer Regiment Dimapur started their training session.

During the training session, one rocket launcher hit Trenjing at the army training grounds, who died on the spot.

Trenjing Goyari hailed from no 1 Paharpur village under Darranga Mela police station.

Later a police team from Darranga Mela Police station recovered the body of Trenjing from the firing range and sent it for post mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
