ASI of police arrested in Manipur

Imphal (Manipur), Aug 23, 2018:

The CID special branch arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Manipur police on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a high-end vehicle theft racket.

Sources said ASI Ravi Ngangom was picked up from his official residence inside 2nd Manipur Rifles headquarters and later, arrested under Section 411 of Indian Penal Code.

The CID team recovered one Toyota Fortuner and a Harley Davidson motorcycle from the ASI's possession. He is currently under police custody and further investigations are on.
