Asom Songrami Mancha criticises Assam govt's lockdown measure

At a time, when the country is heading towards Unlock as PM Narendra Modi calls it, the Assam government on the other hand has initiated a rigorous lockdown.

The Asom Songrami Mancha has raised questions regarding the Assam government move and initiated a press release regarding the matter. The key concerns made are:

Does the govt have any facts regarding the lockdown? (From 27th June onwards from other parts except for Kamrup (M) Assam during weekends and total lockdown in Kamrup (M) on 28th June, midnight onwards)

Even after lockdown cases rose in India. Lockdown doesn't solve the current corona problems and it only creates more problems. This will happen in Assam.

Why has been the public in Assam been asked to undergo lockdown - is it social, health or political?

In Assam due to the floods, so there are 16 deaths. The issue of floods has been avoided, instead diverted into lockdown for political reasons. As such people have been kept inside the houses.

PM Modi initiated a lockdown on 24th march that led to a lot of hardships for people. Now, similar lines lockdown has initiated in Assam will lead to similar problems for the common man in Assam

After 4 lockdowns, businessmen will suffer again after they only started to pick up their business activities.

After the announcement made by the government, excessive crows were seen in Guwahati due to the lockdown announcements. The basic essentials are not present in the city and the govt should have ensured that essentials were kept and maintained.

Only 10% of people wear masks and do social distancing. Where did the Assam govt get this statistic? Are they trying to hide their failures through the statistics?

The Asom Sangrami Mancha also raised some other questions.

Is the rule and regulations of lockdown not applicable to BJP leaders?

How will daily wage labourers be able to gather 14 days ration together? Why is the govt not thinking about them?

The economy has been destroyed and are they now using lockdown for political goals by the Sarbananda Sonowal govt?
