ASSAM: 17 TEACHERS SUSPENDED FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OF DUTY

17 teachers have been placed under suspension for gross negligence of duty under Lala Education Block in Hailakandi district.

The order was issued to this effect by District Development Commissioner and Incharge District Elementary Education Officer, FR Laskar.

During a sudden visit to these schools, Laskar found the teachers conspicuous by their absence. He had a telephonic talk with the Director, Elementary Education, and placed them under suspension immediately.

"The teachers have been placed under suspension to bring about discipline and decorum among the teaching faculty of various schools in the district as well as to ensure transparency in school administration," said Laskar.

Among the teachers suspended, three are from Nizvernurpur ME Madrassa, nine are from Sarbanandapur Girls' MV School and five from Sarbanandapur ME School.

The order directed the Block Elementary Education Officer, Lala to take over charge of Nizvernurpur ME Madrassa, Sarbanandapur Girls' MV School and Sarbanandapur ME School following the suspension of the head teachers.
