Assam: With 193 new cases, death toll increases to 6; tally at 3285

Assam has recorded 193 new COVID-19 cases on June 10^th late night, 2020 taking the state’s total to 3285. Another aspect of the new, that the death toll has increased to 6.

Informing this, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:

Of the total confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1987 are active cases while 1097 have been cured and discharged while six died due to the infection so far.

Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31^st, 2020. In the last ten days, 200 and above cases have been detected 5 times.

Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases followed by Tripura. Sikkim has the lowest cases in the region.

India COVID-19 cases so far

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June ^10th, the country currently has 2,87,000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 137448 active cases with 141028 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 8102.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 3 thousand deaths. It has recorded 94041 corona cases with 44517 cured, 3438 deaths, and 46086 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 32810 cases with 12245 cured, 984 deaths, and 19581 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 36841 positive cases with 19333 cured, 326 deaths 17182 active cases. Gujarat with 21521 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 14735 have been cured, 1347 deaths, and 5439 active cases.
