Two ULFA (I) cadres suspected to be involved in the Teok ghat IED blast on January 26, 2020 in Assam's Charaideo were apprehended on September 30.
The cadres were arrested by Charaideo Police from the army camp today after an initial interrogation. The apprehendees have been identified as Chow Lakhi Longno alias Rubul Asom (30) and Manas Jyoti Patmaut alias Bastab Asom (26).

The two ULFA (I) cadres were arrested around 2 pm in connection with Sonari PS Case No. 16/2020 u/s 120B/121/121A of IPC r/w Sec 3 of ES Act and Sec. 10/13 UA(P) Act.
The cadres were part of the crack group led by Apurba Gogoi alias Arohan Asom which is suspected to be behind the serial blasts in Dibrugarh and Charaideo Districts on January 26.

There were recent inputs of them being seen together near the Assam-Nagaland-Arunachal Pradesh border areas, officials confirmed.
An 5.56mm AR HK33 rifle, 33 rounds of live rounds, and 2 magazines were seized from the suspects. Further Interrogation is on.
