Assam: 226 added COVID-19 cases reported, state total reaches 6282

Assam reported a total of 226 COVID-19 cases on June 24^nd night, 2020 taking the state’s total to 6282. Of the 6282 cases, 2508 are active cases while 3762 have been cured and discharged and nine died due to the infection in the state so far.

Today, there are 226 cases so far.

Informing this, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:

Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31st, 2020. It recorded 102 cases on June 19th.

Assam has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Northeast India followed by Tripura.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 135796 corona cases with 67706 cured, 6283 deaths, and 61807 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 62655 cases with 36602 cured, 2233 deaths, and 23820 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 62087 positive cases with 34112 cured, 794 deaths 27181 active cases. Gujarat with 27825 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 19909 have been cured, 1684 deaths, and 6232 active cases.
