Assam has reported 33 new COVID-19 cases taking the total to 831 on May 28, 2020. Out of the 33 patients, 13 Kamrup Metro, 4 Cachar, 3 Dhemaji, 3 Barpeta, 2 Kokrajhar.
Of the 831 cases, 87 have been cured or discharged, 704 are active while four died due to the infection and three patients were migrated in Assam.
Informing this Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:
So far, Assam has recorded 48 cases today
On 27th May, Assam has recorded 92 cases.
It may be mentioned that the state registered 116 cases on May 26th, 2020 while on May 25th, 2020, the state recorded 147 cases. On May 24th, 2020, Assam registered 46 COVID-19 cases while on May 23rd, 2020, the state registered 67 cases while 49 cases were reported on May 22nd, 2020.
Assam has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases.

The novel coronavirus has infected over 1.58 lakh people and claimed over 4531 lives as on May 28, 2020, morning, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. There are 86110 active cases with 67691 cases discharged and cured.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross a thousand deaths. It has recorded 56948 corona cases with 17918 cured and 1897 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat has corona 15195 cases with 7549 cured and 938 deaths. Tamil Nadu has registered 18545 cases with 9909 cured and 133 deaths. The National Capital with 15257 COVID-19 cases has crossed the 10 thousand mark on May 25th, 2020. So far, 7264 have been cured in Delhi with 303 deaths.
India has already surpassed China’s official figure of 82,993 confirmed coronavirus cases. India is the 10th most cases in the world. So far, the USA has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1.73 m.
