KARBI ANGLONG: At least 6 suspected militants were killed during an encounter between security forces and banned terrorist outfit Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) in Karbi Anglong this morning.
A large number of arms and ammunition also recovered after the clash.
The encounter took place in the wee hours of Sunday morning along the Assam-Nagaland border in Karbi Anglong.

Assam Police and Assam Rifles have been undergoing a massive operation after DNLA militants killed Lt. Sanjoy Ronghang of Dhansiri a few days back and today they have succeeded in nabbing the militants.
"In an early morning operation by @assampolice and Assam Rifles, six DNLA terrorists were neutralized in Dhansiri area of Karbi Anglong district. A large cache of arms & ammunition also recovered," tweeted Assam special director general of police KV Singh.
The six members of the outlawed outfit were gunned down in the Michibailung area, one police official informed.
Four AK-47 rifles and several rounds of ammunition have been recovered from the slain militants and combing operations are still underway in Michibailung.
