Slamming rumours that the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) is behind the attack on BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary's wife Seuli, Kokrajhar President questioned how the allegations are being made without any evidence.
Addressing the media here today, S Basumatary, the Kokrajhar President of the student body also called upon the authorities to take stringent action against the miscreants who had allegedly attacked Mohilary's wife.

"We are not behind this, we want to clarify that", said the student leader, adding that the ABSU has also championed the cause of peace.
It needs mention here that a group of unidentified miscreants attacked the vehicle of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary’s wife amid discussions of BTC election, which is about a month away.
Seuli Mohilary had alleged the ABSU behind the attack on Thursday evening. “I had gone to the Shiv Mandir to inspect the preparations of the Ultapani Shiva Temple. When we were returning from the Mandir, some unknown miscreants pelted stones at us. We were shocked. I suspect the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) behind the attack. They have been anyway attacking my husband on social media and my sister has also been maligned,” she said.

She added, “I doubt them because I have travelled to the Mandir without escort earlier. I was never attacked. There has to be political interest behind the attack.”
The miscreants pelted stones at the vehicle of Seui Brahma Mohilary when she, along with her son, Jaan Mohilary was returning from Ultapani Shiva Temple near Indo-Bhutan border. At a time when the BTC elections are being discussed at length especially post the Bodo Peace Agreement, BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary has been the subject of discussion.
