ASSAM: AGP MEETS GOVERNOR FOR WITHDRAWAL OF THE BILL

Asom Gana Parishad president Atul Bora meets Governor Jagdish Mukhi in Raj Bhawan on 11th June in the evening to discuss the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 which led to a massive protest in the state. In the meeting Bora submitted a memorandum seeking withdrawal of the bill without further delay.

Minister Keshab Mahanta and Phani Bhusan Choudhury alongwith Former President of AGP Prafulla Mahanta and MLA Brindaban Goswami with seven other MLA's were present in the meeting.
