The Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Satra Parishad (AJYCP) on Thursday demanded an inquiry into the delay in the construction of Tinsukia-Duliajan road.
The organization said in spite of the sanction of Rs.9.85 crore by the department of PWD, the road’s construction was still not completed. It alleged that stretches of the road, which have already been constructed, were also damaged.
The AJYCP urged the PWD department to take necessary actions against the contractor and the builder involved. It also demanded to blacklist them.
