Assam: AMTRON to end ties with health dept due to non-payment of Rs50 cr?

GUWAHATI: In a major blow to the Assam state health department,  Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (AMTRON) is considering to end all ties with it, reports said.

Reportedly, AMTRON likely to deviate from the state Ministry from first November.

This decision comes at a time when the state is witness a rapid surge of COVID-19 cases post Puja holidays.

Reportedly, AMTRON took this hard decision due to non payment of dues since November 2020.

As per reports, the health department is yet to pay an amount of Rs50 cr to AMTRON.

Followed by the non payment of this substantial amount if money,  it wrote to the department to clear the dues or it will be compelled to part its ways from it.
