Taking the meaning of the word "creativity" to another level, Hirumoni Doley, a noted artist from Assam, drew the map of Assam with paint on a 'gamusa' using the tip of his nose. Alongside the map, Doley wrote the words, "CAA r pora Axomok Mukti Korok" (release Assam from 'CAA').
Doley, who exhibited astounding skill in giving shape to a map of the Assamese motherland, was cheered on by locals, who had gathered in Guwahati Club area of Guwahati, Assam's economic hub and largest city, in his unique protest against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

With this symbolic protest, in which he depicts the territorial area of his home-state, Doley means to convey that the people of Assam shall not accept the Bill-turned-Act at any cost.
Doley is one among several youths who have poured out onto the streets to protest against the 'CAA' on the first day of 2020.
Students have also launched a protest against the 'CAA' near the Cotton University, that has been one of the biggest zone for 'anti-CAA' protests.
It may be mentioned here that Assam has been in a state of unrest ever since the CAA was pushed through the Parliament by the BJP party in December. Many of the protests were headed by student organizations, and the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), the most influential student body of the State, continues to spearhead protests against the Bill-turned-Act across the State.
Meanwhile, Moon Talukdar, the AJYCP General Secretary of Gauhati University, has warned that the protests against the 'CAA' could go on six years or more if the legislation is not scrapped by the ruling NDA regime at the Centre.
