ASSAM: ASOM JATIYATABADI YUBA CHATRA PARISHAD(AJYCP) LODGES MASS PROTEST AGAINST CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT BILL,2016

AJYCP raised a protest against the most debated Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 in the districts of Tinsukia and Golaghat.

AJYCP raised protest demanding scrapping of the Citizenship Amendment Bill,2016 in the districts of Golaghat and Tinsukia simultaneously. The protest was organised at the premises of the District Deputy Commissioner’s Office in both the districts.

They opposed the bill saying that it is a great threat for the people of the region and that it will result in erasing the identity of the indigenous people of Assam.

They also warned that if tangible steps are not undertaken to scrap the bill, then they will resort to mass protest of greater intensity.
