15th Assam Assembly's first-ever Budget Session to commence from July 12

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has called for the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly on July 12.

This would be the first budget session of the newly formed Assam government headed by Himanta Biswa Sarma as the chief minister.

Governor Mukhi has asked for the session to commence from 9:30 am on July 12 at the Assembly Chamber in Dispur.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of the article 174 of the Constitution of India, as amended up-to-date, I, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, hereby summon the Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly to meet at 9:30 AM on Monday, the 12th July, 2021 at the Assembly Chamber in Dispur," a statement issued by the Governor read.
