Assam BJP member arrested in connection with P&RD job scam

The Crime Branch of Assam Police has arrested an Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Rajeev Parashar for his alleged involvement in the Panchayat & Rural Development Department scam. Parashar reportedly collected money from candidates in the name of giving jobs in the P&RD department.

The Crime Branch also conducted raids in his flats at Anil Plaza and JK Apartment in Guwahati and recovered various documents as well as a laptop. The investigating team has seized Parashar’s mobile and laptop.

Parashar is currently with the Crime Branch and the investigating team may conduct more raids soon based on his revelations.
