DIBRUGARH: Terash Gowalla, a Bharatiya Janata Party politician and MLA from Assam, was reportedly 'attacked' on board a train en route to his native Dibrugarh district.
Gowalla, along with his wife, was aboard a New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express when he was attacked. The particulars of the attack are yet to be disclosed.
Shwetank Mishra, the Dibrugarh SP, said that the attacked occured somewhere near Lumding station.
The 47-year-old Gowalla, who belongs to the tea tribe community, has been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2016 from Duliajan constituency.
