Assam CM receives Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at airport

GUWAHATI: Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and former Chief Minister of Assam has arrived in Guwahati today for a three-day visit to the state as a part of Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra'.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma along with BJP state unit President Bhabesh Kalita and other party leaders received Sonowal at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport this morning at round 10 o' clock.

Rameswar Teli, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, has also arrived in Guwahati with Sonowal.

This is Sonowal's first visit to Assam after being inducted into the Narendra Modi's newly formed cabinet.

Sonowal to be felicitated at Taj Vivanta this evening.
