The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams (matriculation) will start from 14th February and will conclude on 2nd March. This was announced on Tuesday by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
According to reports, the matriculation exams this year will start earlier due to the Lok Sabha elections. The matriculation exams will be held in 857 centres across the state and an estimated 3, 53,000 students will appear in the exams.
The 2018-19 exams will have new elements in it which will include bar-code scanning. The students will have to use a pen with black ink in the exam and there will be no review for Mathematics and Advanced Mathematics. For security and other issues, the exam centres will have CCTV cameras installed.
