Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) supremo Hagrama Mohilary on Sunday announced that Bodoland People's Front (BPF) leader Biswajit Daimary will once again be the party nominee for the party's Assam Rajya Sabha seat.

Hagrama, addressing the mediapersons in Kokrajhar on Sunday, said that Daimary will officially be nominated as the MP during an upcoming meeting between the BPF party leaders and the Assam Government's representatives, headed by BJP President Ranjeet Dass, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and CM Sarbananda Sonowal.
5-6 March will also see the third list of election candidates for the upcoming elections, to be held sometime in April.

Hagrama has also informed that 4 factions of the NDFB, Assam Government, and the Centre will sit for talks to discuss some pertinent issues, post signing of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) pact. The matter is the case withdrawal and rehabilitation of the cadre", Hagrama said, and added that all the jailed insurgents must be released.
Biswajit Daimary is an Indian politician who represents Assam in Rajya Sabha. He is a member of the Bodoland People's Front political party. He was first elected from 2008 to 2014, He was elected for second term ending April 2020. If he is elected again, it will be his third term as a
