Assam health, education and finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the election of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections will be held before 15th December.
Himanta Biswa said, "BJP aims to get power in BTC. Because there are lot of works to be done in BTR. A national political party with its governments at centre and state is needed to complete these works. Therefore, we aim to form a BJP government at Kokrajhar."

The minister further stated that BJP is planning to form the government in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
Earlier, Dr Sarma said that the BTR election is going to be held in December where several parties are contesting the council elections.
