GUWAHATI: Two times former Congress MLA from Thowra Sushanta Borgohain to file nomination today along with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for Thowra in a hope of his third win from the same constituency as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.
Borgohain informed talking with the media that almost 7,000 supporters to accompany him to file nomination. Borgoahin is also hopeful that the people of Thowra will vote for BJP this time seeing the developmental work done by the Himanta Biswa Sarma led government.
Borgohain will take a bow at Shiva Dol and will head towards Deputy Commissioners' office to file nomination.

In the last assembly election, Sushanta Borgohain won from Thowra LAC from Congress defeating BJP incumbent MLA Kushal Duwari and later joined BJP in August resigning from Congress.
Congress, on the other hand, fielded Monoranjan Konwar from Thowra this time. Akhil Gogoi led Raijor Dal has also fielded former KMSS general secretary Dharjya Konwar from Thowra.
