Assam: CAA Protesters Wave Black Flags at BJP State President Ranjeet Dass

Guwahati, December 26, 2019:

In the latest display of public resentment against the controversial amendment of the Citizenship Act, BJP President Ranjeet Dass was shown black flags at Chabua in Dibrugarh district of Assam.

Waving black flag at Dass' convoy, the protesters could be seen raising slogans against PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “We will not accept the CAA at any cost”, they yelled in unison.

The protesters demanded scrapping of the Citizenship Act at the earliest. “Withdraw CAA or arrest us,” they shouted while waving black flags at the BJP President’s convoy.

One of the protesters even called out Ranjit Dass to come out of the vehicle. The Anti-CAA protesters reiterated the message of the masses - that Assam does not want CAA.

Dass was on his way to address a gathering in Chabua when the protesters demonstrated their resentment against the BJP-led state government and the recently implemented Citizenship Act.
