GUWAHATI: Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika has reached Dibrugarh today as responsibility bestowed upon the ministers to visit two districts on route to reach their Cabinet meetings, which going to take place in several districts of Assam from now on once in every month, and Hazarika has taken stock of a vaccination centre and an Anganwadi centre in the district as per instructed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Pijush Hazarika informed speaking to the media persons that each Minister on their way to Dhemaji and way back from it to Dispur will stop at one district.

Today on their way to Dhemaji, every minister will stop at a district and will visit one SDC office, one hospital, one Anganwadi centre and one school to take stock of the situation.

Likewise, on their way back they will meet one beneficiary each of Arunodoi scheme, Elderly pension scheme, Shishu Seva scheme and widow pension.

This would be the first time when a cabinet meeting will be held out of Dispur and this is to continue.

Minister Pijush Hazarika to visit Darrang district on his return journey and meet one beneficiary of each Orunodoi, elderly pension and the beneficiaries of three COVID-19 related schemes.

The minister was accompanied by Dibrugarh MLA Prashanta Phukan, Lahoal MLA Binod Hazarika, Former Lahoal MLA Rituparna Baruah, DC, Dibrugarh Pallav Gopal Jha, DDA Chairman Ashim Hazarika.
