GUWAHATI: In view of improvement of COVID-19 situation in the state, The Assam government today issued new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) w.e.f from today.

The night curfew will be in effect from 10 PM to 5 AM across the state. All shops and other business establishments to stay open till 9PM.

The Assam government further decided to reopen cinema halls in the state with 50 % capacity. However, only fully vaccinated people shall be allowed to enter cinema halls.

Cinema halls should maintain COVID-19 protocols.

60 persons who are fully vaccinated can be allowed to visit the famous religious places and 40 visitors at other religious places will be allowed per hour.

Earlier, the state education department decided to re-open physical classes for all Degree and Post Graduate classes, all classes in Technical institutions/ Universities, B.Ed.

The government issued fresh Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for both private and government educational institutions for resuming offline classes from October 1, 2021.
