ASSAM: CIT TO BE UPGRADED TO DEEMED UNIVERSITY

Another Clause of Bodo Accord got implemented by Goverment of India.

In a latest development, another clause of Bodo Accord has been implemented. According to reports, Biswajit Daimary MP, Rajya Sabha, Mr Kampha Borgoyary, Deputy BTC Chief, and Director Of CIT, Kokrajhar had a discussion with Prakesh Javedkar on the matter of upgradation of CIT to deemed university. It is be noted that, a technical institute called CIT was established in 2006 at Kokrajhar as per the commitment given by the Government of India while signing the Bodo Accord. In the latest discussion, it has come to a final settlement that the M.Tech courses will be started from the current academic session this year . Prakesh Javedkar has further instructed the directors of CIT to advertise for admission in this year.
