Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed appointment letters to 439 candidates at a programme held at Kala Kshetra in Guwahati.
The candidates have been appointed to various state government departments, including Cooperation, Labour Welfare, Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Water Resources.
Speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister said that the government had created 175 new posts in a bank that was on the verge of closure.
The recruitment drive is part of the state government’s efforts to expand employment opportunities and strengthen staffing across key departments.
