DHUBRI: Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma took part on the 346th Sahidi Divas of the 9th Guru of Sikh's Guru Teg Bahadur at Dhubri Gurudwara and announced an amount of 5 crore rupees grant to the historic Gurudwara.

The Chief Minister paid his respects by visiting the historic Gurudwara for nearly an hour. He lauded Gurujana's work and thoughts in parallel with his address at a public meeting which was held at Dhubri Gurudwara premises.

Meanwhile, the holy book of Sikh which is hand written by Guru Tag Bahadur Sahibji then been read out aloud on the occasion of 346th Sahidi Divas of the 9th Guru of Sikh's Guru Teg Bahadur. The Chief Minister himself pleased to listen and took a glimpse of the book, which been preserved safely in a small room inside the Gurudwara.

Sikh Pratinidhi Board Eastern Zone, Dhubri Saheb is the apex representative and decision making and body of the Sikhs living in Northeast India, every year thousands of devotees visits from entire North East and other states of India on the first day of the Sahidi Divas at Dhubri.

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa announced that the Assam government will donate rupees 5 crore while speaking at the Sahidi Divas event which was held at Dhubri Gurdwara.
