Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal is ‘King of Corruption’: Akhil Gogoi

Guwahati, March 8, 2019:

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi has now christened Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal the ‘King of Corruption’. Gogoi made this allegation while addressing the press today in Guwahati while referring to the recent appointments in the Assam Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) Department.

Gogoi has alleged that it is a bigger scam than the APSC scandal and claimed that Sonowal has appointed BJP leaders' family members to the posts. Further, he slammed Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Naba Doley for his role in the scam.

Gogoi made the following demands to the Chief Minister to resolve the issue: “Firstly, Bloom Electronic Pvt Ltd, which has conducted the exams, should be blacklisted. Secondly, the CM should launch a CBI inquiry into the matter. Thirdly, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Naba Doley should be removed from his post.”

Gogoi has also announced an agitation programme against the State Government for the alleged irregularities in the appointments.
