ASSAM CONGRESS LEADER REVEALS EYEBROW RAISING LIST OF PROPERTIES OF FORMER ASSAM CONGRESS MINISTER

In a sensational revelation, Assam Congress leader Anil Raja accused former Assam forest minister surnamed Hussain of amassing incalculable wealth. In a letter sent to media houses, Raja claimed that tainted Assam DFO Aftab Uddin Ahmed had a close association with Mr Hussain. Raja also claimed that Aftab Uddin Ahmed who was arrested by sleuths of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption of Assam police on Wednesday has close associations with Hussain who had played a major role in the high scale corruption. Raja also claimed that Hussain accumulated assets across the state as well as in Delhi and Haryana which has been registered in the names of his family and close associates. List of Hussain’s properties in the names of his family and close associates as claimed by Anil Raja are as under:

1. Plot of land near Joyshree cinema hall in Nagaon in the name of Abhinab Bora.
2. Plot of land at Samuguri in the name of Abhinab Bora.
3. Plot of land in Amin Patty in Nagaon in the name of his wife’s nephew Galib Mansur.
4. Three storey building at Dhaka Patty in Nagaon.
5. Plot of land at Thana Road in Nagaon in the name of Aftab.
6. Plot of land at Six Mile in Guwahati in the name of forest official Bipul Kalita.
7. Petrol pump at Amoni in Nagaon in the name of his wife.
8. Dhaba named Nimontron at Amoni in the name of his family member.
9. Kolong Restaurant in Nagaon in the name of his wife’s nephew Galib Hazarika.
10. Farmhouse spread over 300 hectares land at Puranigudam in Nagaon.
11. Two flats at Prestige apartment at Six Mile in Guwahati in the name of his wife.
12. Showroom named Assam Motors in Nagaon in the name of Debashis Goswami.
13. Building worth several crores at Six Mile in Guwahati.
14. Besides properties in Delhi and Gurgaon.

These were the eyebrow raising list of properties of Hussain as have been claimed by Anil Raja. Raja also asserted that if investigated properly, many more properties of Hussain could be unearthed.

Though Anil Raja did not mention the name of Hussain but it could be easily made out that Hussain is none other than former Assam forest minister Rockybul Hussain. When contacted, Rockybul Hussain told INSIDENE that the allegation levelled against him by Anil Raja are completely baseless.
