The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on August 14th, 2020 donated Rs 25 lakh to Arogya Nidhi Assam to help tide over the pandemic situation faced by the State and to help the people affected by COVID-19.
The ACA delegation briefed the Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of various infrastructural development activities undertaken by ACA under the pandemic situation. The Hon'ble Minister was also informed about ACA's decision to revive cricket in Assam from September, 2020 onwards.

“The Minister was very happy to note that various developmental projects are being undertaken by ACA in different districts of Assam even during these unprecedented situations created by the Coronavirus and advised ACA to take all necessary steps to complete the work undertaken so that a conducive atmosphere can be built for cricket in Assam and all the cricketers can develop their talent. He also requested the officials to undertake major development works in infrastructure so that future IPL matches and 1-20 World Cup matches can be played in Assam,” a press statement read.
The ACA on August 13th, 2020, has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Assam to tide over the various crisis situations faced by the state like COVID-19 and floods. The cheque was handed over to the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonwoal.
