Assam death toll due to COVID-19 crosses 500 mark

Assam detected 2394 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, while, 2464 patients were discharged.

Out of 32478 tests done in the last 24 hours, Kamrup (Metro) reported 556 cases, Dibrugarh 184, Jorhat 161 and Golaghat 158. The positivity rate stands at 7.37 percent.

Meanwhile, the death toll of the state has crossed 500 mark with 511 fatalities.

Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 tally crossed the 50 lakh mark with a spike of 90,123 new cases and 1,290 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The total case load in the country stands at 50,20,360 including 9,95,933 active cases, 39,42,361 cured/discharged/migrated and 82,066 deaths.
