Assam detects 33 COVID-19 cases in a single day, total reaches 2868

Assam has recorded 33 new COVID-19 cases on June 9^th, 2020 taking the state’s total to 2868. Out of the 33 cases, 17 Tinsukia, 4 Jorhat, 3 Barpeta, 2 Chirang, 2 Karbi Anglong, 2 Nagaon, 1 Baksa, 1 Golaghat, 1 Majuli

Informing this, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted:

Of the total 2868 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2076 are active cases while 784 have been cured and discharged while four died due to the infection so far.

Assam has crossed the 1000-mark in 60 days. It reported the first case on March 31^st, 2020. Both, the last 2 days have reached 200+ cases.

India COVID-19 cases so far

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. On June ^9th, the country currently has 2,67,000+ confirmed COVID-19 cases, 129917 active cases with 129214 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 7466.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 3 thousand deaths. It has recorded 88528 corona cases with 40975 cured, 3169 deaths, and 44384 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 29943 cases with 11357 cured, 874 deaths, and 17712 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 33229 positive cases with 17527 cured, 286 deaths 15416 active cases. Gujarat with 20545 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 13956 have been cured, 1280 deaths, and 5309 active cases.
