DHUBRI: The Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Dhubri conducted an operation and seized five sand, gravel and mud overloaded truck and pickup van which was illegally trespassing through a village of Bolodmari falls under Dhubri district.
According to Dhubri Forest Check Station Ranger, Harish Nath, based on a secret information a team of Assam Forest Protection Force staff Dhubri jointly conducted the operation in Bolodmari area and seized five numbers of vehicles.
During the raid, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) himself measure the overloaded trucks and pickup van. Forged papers were used which being detected, no delivery receipt, incompletely filled-up delivery receipt, tampered delivery receipt, open-dated delivery receipt and misdeclaration of cargo.

This is besides the district’s odd bandit that continue to receive truckloads of sand, gravel and mud without any hurdle said, Deepak Chandra Deka, Divisional Forest Officer, Dhubri.
Later, the over loaded three trucks and two pickup van being brought to Dhubri Forest Depot for safe custody.
A case has been registered against the seized vehicles under Minor Mineral Extraction (Development and Regulation) Rules, 2013.
