Assam doctor Subhash Khanna elected in American Surgical Society

GUWAHATI: Assam doctor, Subhash Khanna has been elected in the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (SAGES), an American surgical society.

Khanna, who is one the pioneers to commence Laparoscopic operation and therapeutic endoscopy in the Northeast, will support and develop ‘Endoscopy’ and ‘Hernia’ surgecy sections.

SAGES is a non-profit professional organization which provides education on gastrointestinal minimal invasive surgery.

Earlier, Dr Subhash Khanna of Guwahati has declared President-elect of the Indian Gastro intestinal laparoscopic surgeons society for the year- 2017 and 2018 at the 14th Annual Conference of the association held at Hyderabad from 8th to 11th February.

Dr Khanna was also the first among the surgical fraternity of the state and the northeast to be elected president of a national surgical body.
