GUWAHATI: The Assam down town University, placement sessions for all its final year students began on May 15 and will be continued till July 14.

More than 30 companies--Byju's, Vedantu, Just Dial, Wipro, ESAF Bank, Xenon Stack, Bloombrain, and many more will be participating in the placement drive at the Assam down town University.

Students have already received job offers from companies such as Byju's, ESAF Bank, Xenon Stack, Bloombrain, and others after just three days of the placement drive started.

In just two days students have received over 20 job offers and the university is expecting over 300 job offers during the placement drive.

The highest package offered till now was is Rs 10 lakh per annum.

"This is completely a new initiative being conducted in the entire North-Eastern region where a student gets multiple opportunities to choose from and decide his/her right career path" states the Placement Cell of the university.

The University Placement Cell strives to its motto of University 'Gharke and Placements duniya bharki' stating a student can sit back at his hometown and grab the maximum number of offers from all over the country.

The Assam Down Town University (AdtU) has more than 7000 students and over 7 faculties or department-- Faculty of Management, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and, Faculty of Management and Facultyof Paramedical science.

The AdtU is a leading university in North East India, providing a rare blend of technical and academic excellence to its students, situated in Panikhaiti, Chandrapur, Guwahati, 12 kilometres from Dispur, the state capital of Assam.

The university was established through the Assam Down Town University Act, 2010.
