The lady journalist, Mitali Konwar, was reporting on long queues of people visiting the centres of pollution under control (PUC) certification, that has been made mandatory as per the new Motor Vehicles Act.
One of the members of the queue stated misbehaving with the journalist and attacked the journalist.
The entire incident was caught on camera, where it was witnessed that the man physically assaulted the journalist, and even tried to snatch away her microphone.
He also threatened the journalist, claiming himself to be a high ranked officer.
According to the journalist, the pollution centre was not open when the people stood in the queue and were having some clash among themselves, regarding their positions in the queue. As she went to take the byte of the officials of the centre, the man came up to her and started misbehaving.
