Incessant rains over the past two days is wreaking havoc in many parts of the state triggering inundating low lying areas. Flood water has overflowed in Hailakandi and some parts of the areas like Nimaisanpur, Nrityanandapur, Sudarsanpur and Bandukmarak.
Moreover flood water has also overflowed in Bokakhat blocking the NH37 road. The road between Sapjuri and Diphlu were also blocked for heavy flood. Many roads and bridges were washed away cutting all road links. The floods have affected human lives. The Kaziranga National Park is also said to be affected by the flood.
